Shanee is an experienced social media marketer with roots in public relations. She’s also a geek who talks a lot, plays soccer when she can and is slowly eating her way through San Francisco’s diverse culinary landscape.
She currently works at Dropbox as a part of the first official Dropbox Social Media team. She’s focused on building strategies and best practices that help increase Dropbox’s social footprint and drive pipeline.
Prior to Dropbox she owned Salesforce.com’s employer brand marketing efforts including, social media, careers site strategy, company profiles, brand messaging, recruiter and employee enablement, campaign marketing, SEO, SEM and social advertising.
Before moving to the cloud, Shanee worked at semiconductor giant NVIDIA, creating their global social media program. As NVIDIA’s first social media manager and strategist, Shanee touched all things related to social. She built the center for excellence, listening command center, internal social infrastructure and regularly evangelized the importance of social throughout the organization. She established best practices, measurement frameworks and ran end-to-end campaigns for corporate-branded external communities.
Prior to joining NVIDIA, Shanee worked at Voce Communications (PR agency acquired by Porter Novelli). There she supported a mix of B2C and B2B clients’ social media and traditional public relations programs. Her clients included PlayStation US (SCEA) and Playstation Europe (SCEE), building one of the largest and most vibrant fan communities on the web.
