This Website Helped Boost My Self Esteem

I’m going to depart from my usual, purely work-related, content to make a bit of a personal endorsement for a website that I really really love. http://www.mybodygallery.com/

For anyone who has struggled with body image, this site can be a real lifesaver.  Here’s how it works: real women, from around the world, upload photos of themselves (full body shots, mostly clothed, some in under garments) that show what ladies of all different shapes and sizes look like.  You can search this database of images, sorting by height, weight and body shape, to see what women look like with specific specs. It’s a great way to put your own body into … well, perspective.

Women across the spectrum also share stories of their body-image journeys, proving that the grass isn’t always greener, and that you can’t know someone else’s story just by looking at them.  It’s a great community site that has helped me with my own self-image, and hopefully might be valuable to some of you. http://www.mybodygallery.com/

  1. I have noticed that those involved in naturism have a higher positive body image than general society. Media obsession with perfect bodies impacts how people see their own bodies.

  2. Amazing blog! Do you have any tips for aspiring writers?
I’m hoping to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you recommend starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for
a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m completely overwhelmed .. Any tips? Thank you!
