First, I want to give a shout out to my man Drew Benvie from Hotwire PR. He read my post about observations in London and brought me the Daily Mail to read at today’s Measurement Summit gathering! Now that’s thoughtful.
His gift inspired me to compile some addendums to my observations list:
- People here are extremely hospitable: Don’t know if I’ve just been lucky, but so far people have been friendly, outgoing and of course generous. When they ask me questions they actually listen for an answer. It’s the opposite phenomenon from back home when we say “what’s up” as a form of “hi” rather than a real question. Loving the culture.
- Shephards Pie is delicious: Last night I had my first, with just a touch of Worcestershire sauce…Mmmm. Meat stew with veggies topped with mashed potatoes and baked. Savo(u)ry goodness. (that’s a ‘u’ of respect)
This one’s a short post because I’ve gotta jet, but rest assured there’s more to come (especially after I go exploring on my own this afternoon).
